Dow Announces Price Increase for Epichlorohydrin in Asia Pacific Hong Kong - February 07, 2006 The Epoxy Products and Intermediates (EP&I) business of The Dow Chemical Company is increasing prices for epichlorohydrin sold in the Asia Pacific region. In Greater China, Dow is announcing an increase of US$100/mt, effective immediately, or as contract terms allow. In Japan, Dow will increase prices by Yen 25/kg, effective March 1, or as contract terms allow. A similar rate of price increase will be announced later for the other Asia Pacific countries. Dow said the increase is driven by various factors, including significant increases in feedstock and energy prices, as well as the tight supply situation in this region.
