Horgen - June 12, 2006

Dow Epoxy, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company (“Dow”), is raising prices in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for two epoxy intermediate products, allyl chloride and epichlorohydrin. The increases take effect July 1, 2006, or as contract terms allow.

The price for allyl chloride will increase by 150 Euro per metric ton; for epichlorohydrin by 125 Euro per metric ton.

The increase is driven by tight supply/demand conditions globally.
