Dow Announces Epoxy Resin Price Increases in Latin America

Sao Paulo - July 19, 2006

Dow Epoxy, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company (“Dow”), is raising list and off-list prices for its epoxy resin products in Latin America.

Dow will increase prices for D.E.R. liquid epoxy resins by US$150 per metric ton. Prices for D.E.R. solid, solid solution and brominated epoxy resins will rise by US$120 per metric ton.

All of these increases are effective August 1, 2006, or as contract terms allow. All other terms and conditions of sale for products affected by these price increases remain unchanged.

Dow says the increases are driven by volatile raw material costs and tight supply/demand conditions globally.
