Dow Announces Epoxy Resin Price Increases in Latin America

Sao Paulo, Brazil - March 15, 2007

Dow Epoxy, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company (“Dow”), is raising list and off-list prices for its epoxy resin products in Latin America.

The increases, effective April 15, 2007, or as contact terms allow, are as follows:

Liquid Epoxies D.E.R.™ 300 series $0.15/kg
Liquid Epoxies D.E.R. 354 $0.20/kg
Novolac Epoxies D.E.N.™ 400 series $0.20/kg
Solid and Solid Solution Epoxies D.E.R. 600 series $0.15/kg
Glycol Epoxies and Blends D.E.R. 700 series $0.15/kg
Epoxy Curing Agents D.E.H.™ 20, 30, 50 & 80 series $0.15/kg

“This increase is driven by tight-supply/high-demand conditions across all world regions and by volatile raw material costs,” says Ana Carolina Haracemiv, Latin American product marketing manager for Dow Epoxy. “Dow has seen above average demand so far in 2007 and we expect the market will continue tightening.”

Customers interested in learning more about the price increases should contact their local Dow sales representative.
