Dow Increases Epoxy Resin Prices in Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa and Indian Subcontinent

Hong Kong - May 22, 2007

Dow Epoxy, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company (“Dow”), is announcing price increases for D.E.N.™ epoxy novolac resins and D.E.R.™  liquid, liquid blend, solid, solid solution and brominated epoxy resin products.

The increases, effective June 1, 2007, or as contract terms allow, apply to the following regions: Asia Pacific, Europe (Western Europe, Eastern Europe including Turkey), the Middle East, Africa, India and Pakistan.

Asia Pacific:

Prices will rise by US$100 per metric ton for D.E.R. liquid, liquid blend, solid and solid solution, brominated epoxy resins, and D.E.N. epoxy novolac resins.

Europe, Middle East, Africa, Indian Subcontinent:

Prices will rise by €100 per metric ton for D.E.R. liquid, liquid blend, solid solution, brominated epoxy resins and D.E.N. epoxy novolac resins.

The increases are in addition to all those previously announced in the affected regions. Customers interested in learning more about the price increase should contact their local Dow sales representative.
